Confessionals: Army-Navy Week

Well Holy CRAP! We are back to another Friday! WOOOHOOO! Jon and I have been busting our little hineys trying to get our house in decent shape for our Army-Navy party tomorrow. Can a girl get a little "GOOOO ARMY"?!?! And it's not just Army-Navy week, it's Confessional Friday! So here we go:

1.) Tuesday was really slow at work, so Michelle and I took a mid-day exercise break...in the lobby. Here is the proof. We've all got to do our best to stay fit.

2.) Tuesday night, I did my grocery shopping for the party. I don't think I have ever purchased that much food at once. I decided to take a picture to show Jon because: a.) I wanted to impress him with my newly-developed domestic abilities; and, b.) I needed to explain why I was going to be an hour late getting home from work.
Apparently, we are not allowed to take photos of groceries at Randalls. Ummmm???!!! I was immediately scolded and they quickly questioned my photography motives. My face of course turned bright red, and I answered, "I wanted to show my husband all of the yummy food I was buying. I'm very, very sorry."
How lame is that! I should have come up with a much sassier response to my wrist-slappin' for breaking such a silly, silly rule.

3.) Oh don't worry, Stella soon got her groove back in the check-out line at Target. On my Wednesday lunch-break, I did a quick sweep to pick up some necessities. When I went to pay, there were no bar-codes on trash-bins I wanted to buy for our guest bathrooms.

I waited 15 minutes for a price check on those suckers! At about 7 minutes in, I broke open the trail mix in my cart and started eating "my lunch."
When the cashier tried to tell me that I needed to pay for my food before eating it, I just slapped my credit card on the counter and continued chucking LARGE handfuls into my mouth. BOOM!

4.) I may or may not have spent my entire Thursday lunch break finding gold and black M&Ms and Letter A cookie-cutter. Now THAT is school spirit.

5.) Also, I may or may not have accidentally spent $40 on said M&Ms. Who knew the "special" colors cost so much more?! I did not check on the price-per-pound beforehand, so that's my fault. And it's not like you can put some back after you've poured it into your candy bag....

6.) I know zero about Army athletics and I have very little interest in football at all, but I am quite proud to be a West-Pointer's wife. Kid worked hard to get there, stay there and graduate from there - and that's certainly something to celebrate.

SOO...GO ARMY, SINK NAVY!

All My Love,
Jessica
