I am writing to you between a perfect sunset julep on the porch and tonight's episode of Madmen. In this hour of uncertainty and laziness, I wanted to share with you photos from our quintessential Texas weekend with family. I just heard the oven beep, signaling that our chicky-pie dinner is ready. So without further adieu, memories from a prime Gruene, Texas day.
Pre-trip photo-shoot. I have apologized profusely for dressing Jon like a lumber jack on this particular occasion.
The razz.
Shouldn't he be carrying a log or somesing?
Strawberry marg love at the Gristmill.
My darling husband.
My wonderful parents.
Sangria tastes better out of a mason jar. I promise. I swear. I'm drunk.
Sweet jasmine- sure to be the next addition to our garden.
Mom loved her marg just a little too much.
Pull yourself together Mah.
I kid. She was sneaking a peek at the tower - yeah right.
Antique shopping-
Derby prep. Lovely. Lice.
A Bubba portrait for the library?
Eye don't even know...is there really a market for these?
Can a lady get a friggin' Dos Equis?!
Certified porch sitters.
Finale at Gruene Hall. Yeehaw for Mich Ultra and menthol smoke.
Happy Sunday, Ladies & Gentlemen.
All My Love,
Jessica
