Friday Five {4.13.12}

1.) I have this wonderful window in my new office that allows for a great deal of natural light...and a front row seat to some weird sh*t.

Case in point, these two blooming adolescent boys sat outside my office for a good 3 hours blasting some sweet beats on their modern-day boombox.

See those stix? There was definitely air-drumming involved.

I would like to brand them as "alternative," but I'm pretty sure I heard some Good Charlotte in the mix. I was rocking out to GC back in 2002 in my beige Accord.

And this good fellow, well he took a snooze this afternoon. Nothin wrong with that.
Except it turned into a 2-hour nap. nbd.

Also, I'm absolutely certain I witnessed a break-up on the bench yesterday. A young Pat Benetar gave skater-boy the "talk to the hand" and half-yogged away. Skater-boy stood there for a moment, misty-eyed, starring longingly at his ex-lover. Then he hopped on his modified skateboard and sped away in the opposite direction.

It was just like watching a silent movie. Le Drama.

2.) We had a wonderful time with my grandparents in town for Easter last weekend. I randomly found this photo of Grand-dad Max on my iPhone this morning.
He's crazy and he can't hear a darn thing, but he's also up for anything, including a long afternoon of antique shopping.

3.) While antique-shopping, I found this original painting. I need it.
It's an A.D. Greer piece...apparently, he's a famous Texas artist. Who doesn't need a famous piece of art?!

It would fit so perfectly in our dining room and coincide wonderfully with our pink rose bushes.

Jon says, "Dream on, dreamer."

4.) I'm excited for our downtown date with friends tonight. We have recently decided prolonged dinners are sometimes more entertaining than going out-out. Perhaps we are getting old, but I much prefer conversation and alcohol indulgence with close friends in a restaurant setting to navigating an over-crowded club.
Aren't we sophisticated? On a scale of 1 to Gretta Van Susteren, how sexy am I?

5.) I'm loving this song.

And it clearly relates to my life as of late. Yeah right.

Have a fabulous weekend!

All My Love,
Jessica
